Candle Care Tips
First Burn – Set the Stage
The first burn is the most important.
Let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the jar (usually 2–3 hours). This prevents "tunneling" and sets the memory of the wax, promoting an even burn every time.
Wick Trimming Is Key
Before every burn, trim your wick to ¼ inch.
This helps avoid:
- Excessive soot
- Large, flickering flames
- Uneven burning
Use wick trimmers or clean scissors for best results.
Burn Time Guidelines
- Burn your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time.
- Extinguish, let cool, and trim the wick before relighting.
- Always allow the wax to cool and harden between burns.
This helps extend the life of your candle and preserves fragrance integrity.
Placement & Burn Surface
- Place your candle on a heat-resistant, flat surface
- Keep away from drafts, curtains, and flammable materials
- Avoid moving the candle while the wax is still hot
Keep candles at least 3 inches apart when burning multiple.
Extinguishing Your Candle
Use a candle snuffer or gently blow it out. Avoid using the lid or water.
Allow the wax to cool completely before relighting or moving the jar.
When to Stop Burning
Discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom.
This prevents overheating the jar or damaging surfaces underneath.
